Roundabout in New York. The center of the roundabout has evergreen trees and other plantings.

Overview

FHWA, in partnership with the Project for Public Spaces, and INDUS Corporation, was pleased to present a webinar on the safety and mobility benefits of roundabouts in transportation planning.

This webinar presented research and case studies that will inform practitioners on how to design and implement roundabouts so they reduce costs, while reducing risk of accident for pedestrians, cyclists, and motorists.

Presenters discussed their own experience in designing and implementing roundabouts in the rural, suburban, and urban context, including their experience in working with communities, and other transportation practitioners within and outside of their agencies/organizations.
