The Peer Review program provides an opportunity for planning agencies to invite an expert peer review panel to review their data, methods, tools and planning models to ensure that the technical processes they are applying meet the agencies' analysis needs. TMIP supports peer reviews by assisting agencies in panel assembly, logistics, and funding for travel and most importantly documenting the peer review meetings and preparing a final report which summarizes the review for the host agency. The Peer Review Program began in April 2003. You may find more information regarding TMIP Peer Reviews in Peer Review Process.
TMIP Peer Review reports provide detailed information on the peer reviews sponsored by TMIP. The content of peer review reports represents the professional opinions of the expert panel volunteers and does not represent the opinions of FHWA nor does it constitute an endorsement, recommendation or specification by FHWA. The content of the reports does not determine or advocate a policy decision/directive or make specific recommendations regarding future research initiatives. The reports are based solely on discussions and comments during the peer review.
