Exhibit ES15A is a bar graph that shows a comparison of capital spending in 2000 with average annual investment requirements. The vertical axis measures billions of dollars between 0 and 15 in increments of $5 billion. The horizontal axis has two bars for the year 2000-one for vehicles and one for non-vehicles-with three parts in each bar. In the vehicles bar, $2.8 billion went to capital spending, $6.2 billion to maintain conditions and performance, and $8.1 to improve conditions and performance. In the non-vehicles bar, $6.2 billion went to capital spending, $8.7 billion to maintain conditions and performance, and $12.5 to improve conditions and performance.
