Plannign Process: Includes Statewide planning, Project Priorities and Funding Decisions, Local and Regional Planning, Cooridor Studies, ITS Strategies, and Freight Planning.

Data Collection Programs: Includes Management Systems, Inventory, Condition, and Travel which is reported in HPMS. This affects two main areas:

• Environmental Analysis (Air Quality Analysis and Project Analysis)
• Engineering Applications (Project Design, 2002 Pavement Design Guide, AASHTO Design Standards, Asset Management, and System Performance
