Maine
Franklin County Bridges Project

CHBP FY 2018 Grant Award: $6,118,000

Recipient: Maine Department of Transportation

Project Description

The project replaces three rural bridges in Franklin County that are in poor condition. The Farmington Falls Bridge, Hall Bridge and Alder Stream Bridge will all be replaced, built in 1931, 1932 and 1961, respectively.

Project Benefits

The project improves three bridges from poor condition to good. It will promote the region’s connectivity and economy by supporting the local forest products industry, maintaining access to basic life services for residents and improving access to tourist destinations. The project also reduces overall maintenance costs.
