Nebraska
Norfolk Northeast Bridges Project

CHBP FY 2018 Grant Award: $8,484,000

Recipient: Nebraska Department of Transportation

Project Description

The project replaces seven bridges on three different rural state highways – three on US-81, two on N57 and two on N116 – located 25 miles northeast of Norfolk. Six of the bridges are in poor condition and one is in fair condition. All the bridges are at least 60 years old.

Project Benefits

The project improves six bridges from poor condition to good and one bridge from fair condition to good. This project will facilitate truck traffic and farm to co-op access. It also improves access to the Dixon County Fair, an important Nebraska event that contributes to the quality of life of county residents.
