KM evaluates and tests new collaboration and knowledge-sharing tools while expanding the use of existing technologies. In partnership with FHWA's Office of Information Technology, KM pilots and helps roll out the latest and greatest technologies for collaboration, information sharing, and virtual teaming.
Leveraging technologies that support virtual teams, collaboration on documents and projects to improve efficiency and effectiveness of work groups.
KM provides assistance to FHWA offices and groups through presentations and training on virtual engagement techniques, including how to conduct online meetings and demonstrating various polling and survey applications.
KM created and continually updates KnowledgePort – an internal site that houses easy-to-find, easy-to-follow guides and tutorials on many virtual collaboration topics and tools.
