Flowchart for assessing the likelihood of M R D causing the observed distress in the pavement as applied to CA-014-011. This flowchart is used to determine whether pavement distress is actually an MRD and whether a visual inspection and examination of the paste and aggregate should occur. By evaluating field and maintenance surveys and using this flowchart from Volume 2 of the guidelines, evidence was found that showed the following conditions to be present at the Mojave, California site and led to the preliminary determination that the distress was probably not an MRD:
