Uncertainties in condition, deterioration, maintenances actions, costs and time of applying actions to bridges at different ages of the bridge life. The charts depicts the subjectivity in modeling bridge conditions and maintenance practices applied to bridges. The horizontal axis represents the time or age of the bridge (or bridge component). The vertical axis represent the condition of the bridge (or bridge component). A solid curve goes from the top left to the bottom right of the chart represents the deterioration of the bridge (or bridge component) when no action is applied.
