SR-210, Little Cottonwood Right-of-Way Salt Lake County- Project No. N/A
Dear Mr. Reams:
We have received a request from the Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) for a Federal Land Transfer in accordance with the provision of 23 Code of Federal Regulation (CFR) Subpart F, Section 710.601. This request is for a formal Right-of-Way that has never been obtained located on SR-210, Little Cottonwood Canyon in Salt Lake County.
The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) is forwarding the proposed UDOT Federal Land Transfer which includes a map of the area affected, legal descriptions and an Environmental Study. Please review this information and let me know if you have any questions or concerns.
If the Forest Service concurs with the UDOT request, FHWA will need a Letter of Consent and any special considerations you may want incorporated into the easement. UDOT is also requesting the Forest Service to grant a Right-of-Entry. Permission may be granted in the Letter of Consent. UDOT is requesting the Right-of-Entry so work may commence while the easement document is being prepared and being sent through a legal sufficiency review.
After receipt of your letter of consent, we will ask UDOT to prepare a highway easement deed and send to your office for review. FHWA will execute the deed, have it recorded in the Clerk of Court by UDOT, and then copies and correspondence of this recording will be submitted to your office.
