AASHTO is a nonprofit, nonpartisan association representing highway and transportation departments in the 50 states, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico. Its primary goal is to foster the development, operation, and maintenance of an integrated national transportation system.
AGC is the leading association for the construction industry, including the highway construction industry. With more than 26,000 member firms, it offers many services to the industry, including a career center for job posting and placement.
ARTBA is the largest national transportation construction trade group. It works exclusively to build and protect the U.S. transportation construction market and offers education and training programs designed to meet the professional development needs of the transportation industry.
ETA administers federal government job training and worker dislocation programs, federal grants to states for public employment service programs, and unemployment insurance benefits. These services are primarily provided through state and local workforce development systems.
FHWA provides oversight and stewardship of the federal-aid programs that support the construction, maintenance, and preservation of the nation's highways, bridges, and tunnels. It also conducts research and provides technical assistance to state and local agencies in an effort to improve safety and mobility on the nation's roads, as well as to encourage the development and deployment of innovative technologies and practices.
