Surface Transportation Extension Act of 2004

The following links provide information on a 60-day extension passed by the House on the evening of February 26, 2004. Late Friday afternoon the Senate passed the same extension bill. Congressional action cleared the extension for Presidential signature over the weekend thus avoiding Highway Trust Funded employees being furloughed and averting a hard shutdown mid-night Sunday, February 29, 2004.
