	Surface Transportation Extension Acts of 2005 STEA05 Part III The President signed the ninth extension into law (H.R. 3332, P.L. 109 -35) on July 19, 2005, narrowly avoiding a shutdown. This extension expires midnight Thursday, July 21, 2005. On Tuesday evening, the Senate and House approved by voice vote H.R. 3332 clearing the 9th extension for the President's signature.
