Changes in overall satisfaction with major highways used most often

Satisfaction with major highways used most often has increased 15 percentage points since 1995, while dissatisfaction has increased 6 percentage points. Today, fewer travelers have neutral attitudes than five years ago. In 1995, when asked about major highways, 15 percent of respondents were very satisfied, 35 percent were satisfied, 34 percent were neither satisfied or dissatisfied, 11 percent were dissatisfied, and 5 percent were very dissatisfied. When asked the same question in 2000, 11 percent were very satisfied, 54 percent were satisfied, 13 percent were neither satisfied or dissatisfied, 16 percent were dissatisfied, and 6 percent were very dissatisfied. The source of the 2000 data is the 2000 Infrastructure Survey. The source of the 1995 data is the 1995 NQI National Highway User Survey.
