Model P3 Contracts Listening Sessions

January 2013

The USDOT held a Listening Session in Washington, D.C. on January 16, 2013 to allow the public to present their perspectives on Model P-3 Contracts. The recent transportation authorization act ( MAP-21) requires USDOT to develop model transaction contracts for public private partnerships (P3s). Topics discussed included: the design of the model contract template; the scope of the model contracts; and specific provisions included in the model contracts.

USDOT is using the input received from Listening Session attendees to inform this effort. USDOT also opened a public docket that will remain open through May 31, 2013 and allow interested parties to submit written input to help facilitate the preparation of the model P3 Contract templates.

This section of the P3 website provides users with the materials from the Listening Session, including a list of attendees and written and audio transcripts of the session, together with links to the public comment docket and other related materials.

Comments may also be mailed or hand delivered to the U.S. Department of Transportation, Dockets Management Facility, Room W12-140, 1200 New Jersey Avenue, S.E., Washington, DC 20590; or faxed to 202-493-2551.
