Fish Passage in Large Culverts With Low Flow

ACKNOWLEDGMENTS

This research was conceived and developed to meet the needs of the contributors to a pooled-fund effort (TPF-5(164)). The States that contributed funding were Alaska, Georgia, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Vermont, and Wisconsin. It was supported by the FHWA Hydraulics Research and Development Program with Contract No. DTFH61-11-D-00010 by Genex Systems and the Argonne National Laboratory.

The Maryland State Highway Administration was the lead State working with the FHWA to develop the concepts for the study. Dr. Fred Chang was involved in the preliminary conceptual discussions that established the research priorities and analytical frameworks as noted in the text. Corrugated pipe used in the study was donated by Contech® at the request of the Maryland State Highway Administration.

Roger Kilgore developed the proposed design equations and provided data analyses and technical editing services.
