Overall satisfaction with pavement conditions

  • Quiet ride. In 2000, 66 percent were "satisfied" or "very satisfied"; 11 percent were "neither/don't know"; and 23 percent were "dissatisfied" or "very dissatisfied." In 1995, 50 percent were "satisfied" or "very satisfied"; 31 percent were "neither/don't know"; and 19 percent were "dissatisfied" or "very dissatisfied."
  • Surface appearance. In 2000, 58 percent were "satisfied" or "very satisfied"; 11 percent were "neither/don't know"; and 31 percent were "dissatisfied" or "very dissatisfied." In 1995, 49 percent were "satisfied" or "very satisfied"; 31 percent were "neither/don't know"; and 20 percent were "dissatisfied" or "very dissatisfied."
  • Durability. In 2000, 56 percent were "satisfied" or "very satisfied"; 12 percent were "neither/don't know"; and 33 percent were "dissatisfied" or "very dissatisfied." In 1995, 44 percent were "satisfied" or "very satisfied"; 34 percent were "neither/don't know"; and 22 percent were "dissatisfied" or "very dissatisfied."
  • Smoothness of ride. In 2000, 53 percent were "satisfied" or "very satisfied"; 9 percent were "neither/don't know"; and 38 percent were "dissatisfied" or "very dissatisfied." In 1995, 49 percent were "satisfied" or "very satisfied"; 29 percent were "neither/don't know"; and 22 percent were "dissatisfied" or "very dissatisfied."
