Overall importance of roadway and operational characteristics in Federal lands

Visitors to National Parks and Forests were asked to rank the importance of roadway characteristics. Responses were scaled from 0 (not important at all) to 100 (very important). Their scores are as follows: 75 for safety of driving conditions, 72 for preservation of resources, 53 for road surface conditions, 52 for visual appeal, 52 for direction and information signs, 46 for access to destination, 42 for traffic flow, and 42 for bridge conditions. The source of this data is the Federal Lands Highway Survey.
