Transportation Partners

SHRP2 Transportation Partners – Collaborating to deliver innovative and practical solutions to complex challenges.

SHRP2 is a national partnership of three key transportation organizations: the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO), and the Transportation Research Board (TRB). This collaboration has ensured that research efforts and their corresponding products address real challenges at national, state, and local levels. To date, more than 700 volunteers representing state and local transportation agencies and diverse industry, government, academic, and advocacy groups have contributed their expertise to SHRP2.

SHRP2 Solutions identify ways that we can all work together more efficiently, coordinating the efforts of a wide range of stakeholders and leveraging advances in diverse fields such as bridge construction, nondestructive testing techniques, data analysis, and collaborative decision making. Each SHRP2 partner plays an essential role. TRB completed the research, and now FHWA and AASHTO are jointly implementing the resulting SHRP2 Solutions that will help the transportation community enhance productivity, boost efficiency, increase safety, and improve the reliability of the Nation’s highway system.
