Not all skill sets attend all workshops. Skill sets are selected based on scope of work and Department needs

The afternoon of their arrival, the workshop participants will be briefed on the project, take a tour of the project, and have a reception. Skill sets spend the next full day in their break out sessions, wrap up and present their recommendations the morning of the third day

Need a room large enough for approximately 65 people and several small break out rooms. Need supplies like lap tops, projectors, flip charts, name tags, etc.

Each skill set will require a note keeper. Several facilitators will be needed for the general session as well as the break out sessions.

  • Meals - couple of breakfasts and working lunches, reception; typically, included in workshop facilitation

  • Documentation/reports - Typically ACTT funds workshop documentation; State drafts report, ACTT prepares final report

TYPICAL ACTT WORKSHOP GOALS & OBJECTIVES
  • Reduce construction time from current schedule to x years
  • Limit lane reduction to x lanes/direction during construction
  • Maintain x mph speed in the work zone
  • Minimize delays due to Utilities, R/R, R/W, etc.
  • Accommodate emergency facilities, businesses, airports, and such during construction
  • Accommodate local, regional, and national events during construction
  • Construct within budget
  • Implement context sensitive design
  • Construct an esthetically pleasing project
  • Maintain a safe work zone (worker & public safety)
  • Maintain R/R operating during construction
  • Be customer and neighbor oriented during construction
