Revenue Overview

This section provides information about all sources of highway related revenue at all levels of government. A series of tables provides details on Federal government revenue from the fuels and other highway related federal taxes. Another series of tables provide information on the State government's highway and mass transit revenue sources. Tables representing local revenue sources are also provided. Toll facility receipts, whether public or privately owned, are included in this section.

The tables are intended to provide an annual cash flow statement for highways and mass transit in which major revenue sources are identified. Together with the tables in the expenditures section, these tables form balanced statement of all funds controlled or administered by all entities that perform highway-related functions.
