    Bridge Preservation Guide released by FHWA

    FHWA has just released for download, the new Bridge Preservation Guide to assist with efforts to extend the service life of a bridge inventory.

    This guide defines bridge preservation terms and identifies commonly practiced bridge preservation activities. It also provides guidance to bridge-owning agencies on establishing or improving existing bridge preservation programs as part of an asset management program.

    Who is this Guide intended for? Federal, States, and local Bridge engineers; bridge owners; and bridge preservation practitioners to support the Federal-aid Highway Program.
