This page contains materials from FHWA's Every Day Counts round five (EDC-5) initiative, which took place in 2018. EDC identifies and deploys proven yet underutilized innovative practices and provides additional funding to State DOTs to incorporate these innovations.
The EDC-5 Summits, which convened transportation leaders from across the U.S., resulted in a number of resources such as case studies, peer exchanges, webinars, and primers.
EDC-5 INNOVATION: VALUE CAPTURE
The EDC-5 value capture initiative promotes the use of value capture mechanisms as part of a mixed funding and innovative finance strategy to accelerate project delivery and provide equitable funding for sustainable transportation investments.
